Working with glass is relatively new for me. It started with my desire to create my own settings for jewelry pieces. The lapidary work I had been doing was providing many beautiful setting options but fused glass seemed to offer the potential for a custom made “stone”. While the custom made stone was my entry point, I’ve moved on to experiment with a number of other forms. Most recently I’ve been using reclaimed float glass (window glass) to make plates. I like the idea that these pieces come from “100% post-consumer waste”.
